They did it! The Gilpin County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to build the Community Annex today.

All three of these people voted to spend nearly $3 MILLION on what was supposed to be a much-needed replacement of our Food Pantry (more like $.5M).

Our rec center is still not fully open to our former seven-day-a-week schedule, but I digress. 

Chair Sandy Hollingsworth said the commissioners received 11 emails from people who supported this move and four who opposed.

Today, eight people spoke against this move, and three approved.
