The battle is real, but it’s worth the fight!
}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
It all came to a head last Tuesday when I, a 71-year-old grandma, wife, mother, Dog Mom, good friend and citizen of the United States of America, was threatened with arrest at our Historic Courthouse for doing my election service.
Think about that! I’ve told you about the incident, so I won’t belabor it with you again. (You can read my previous post).
I’m writing because I want you to know you’ve read lies about me, you’ve wondered what’s up, and you wonder if it’s worth it to me. YES, IT IS WORTH IT! Why?
Because we are Americans - we are used to things being a certain way, and they are UPSIDE DOWN AND BACKWARDS RIGHT NOW!
UPSIDE DOWN
SDRAWKCAB
We need to right this ship and make things better here on our mountains!
I will continue to let you know what’s happening, and it will ALWAYS be truth. The newspapers have been openly biased toward liberals, and I am a Conservative. They don’t like that. They censor us, just like social media sensors us. It’s sad.
I was reading the Weekly Register-Call today and didn’t recognize the troublemaker they described me as, and ANONYMOUSLY! I love all people, even some Democrats! ππ But…π
Since I sent a postcard out with my own money to let this community know about a Commissioner candidate’s past as a crooked Clerk, she complained to the State. It’s true - I didn’t form a campaign committee, I didn’t put my name on the postcard, and I didn’t tell the State how much money I spent. Oh no! I used my First Amendment right to get a job done after I had been censored by both papers and two social media sites. I don’t regret one bit of the decision. I am appealing the decision of the judge who fined me $337.22. I have my rights. That’s the story.
I fight for good causes, and the anonymous writers continue to make me look like a real problem - as they combine the story of the postcard in June with being dismissed by a controlling, rule-breaking Clerk. Well, maybe THEY are the problem!
I fought for our civil rights at the Courthouse,
I fought to defeat a forever tax on property values,
I continue to fight foolish spending such as the nearly $2 million food pantry open two half-days a week,
I fight for the rec center to get opened back up seven days a week and for the senior activities to be restored.
Yes, I have made those things my business and will continue to do so. I support candidates who share those views, too!
So back to the newspapers…I was threatened with arrest last week because the Clerk doesn’t want citizens knowing the law and expecting it to be followed. I had to be GONE! Off with her head!!
Now the newspapers can really have a hay day writing…I had to be removed from the Courthouse AND I broke election law in June!!!! Oh no, it can’t be so! Well, it isn’t so! I didn’t break any rules while working as an Election Watcher, and I will continue to fight the case on my First Amendment. That’s what this is.
Don’t feel badly for me when I get beaten up in the press or social media. I don’t care what they say - I’m doing God’s work, and it’s worth it! We will make huge changes soon, and all of us will benefit. You know what? I’m glad I’m able to make a difference and not be laying in bed with this broken back! π€ͺ I just had to tell you it’s all ok! I appreciate all the calls and letters. ❤️ You are asking me, “So what is going to happen??” I have no idea right now, but am expecting after the election she will hear from our leadership and the Secretary of State. We need a hero to stop this Clerk! We’ll see soon. πΊπΈ
Please consider doing what I’m doing, Friends. Consider doing the hard stuff…stand firm for what you believe in and don’t give a darn what others say. If you know what’s right, and it matters enough to fight for it, please do! We need more heroes in this day of evil. You are all out there. You care! You want things to be better! Then join me in standing up, speaking out, and making this world a better place!
My husband and I voted. Here goes…. πππ
We voted for Marie Mornis because she has been a brave warrior for fiscal responsibility as a Commissioner. We voted for Corey Marshall for Commissioner because he has brilliant ideas to bring in business, restore the services to our citizens, and protect our tax dollars from frivolous spending (like the Commissioner we want him to replace, Hollingsworth). We also voted for Donald Trump for President (of course)! He’s sassy, but man - he was a fantastic President and will be even better this time! I’m just telling you like I see it. It’s all in the blogposts over the last year, if you care to review. Some of you may want to agree to disagree with my choices, but IT’S AMERICA!!! We can do that!!!!
We need to jerk this county and this country out of the ditch, and I hope you’ll help us!
Thank you for hearing my heart. We’ve got this! Together, we will have more peace, more love and more success in Gilpin County and the good ole USA!
Here is the link to the Fox 31 News report last night regarding the problem with Sahari McCormick. Election interference is real and has dire consequences if not stopped! Sahari must stop making her own rules. They don’t serve anybody who wants fair elections. Pathetic, actually!
From FOX31 Denver, 10/30/2024 - ⬇️
God bless you all. Pray for our county and country.
And please VOTE NOW!!!
Thank you for reading, researching and sharing the light!
