The Commissioners warned at their Budget Hearings they will be coming back to the taxpayers for MORE MONEY TO RUN THE REC CENTER! You watch! (That was two months after the voters DEFEATED their new tax)!
BUT, BUT, BUT…
Here you have some short videos of the Commissioners on Tuesday, planning to spend $1.5 million (so far) for a new 2,500 sq. ft. food pantry, which has now been revealed to be much more than a food pantry. The “Community Annex” has a Commercial Kitchen, “three or four” offices, and a Food Pantry. Do we need a new Food Pantry? Can it be rehabilitated? Maybe the people have opinions about this! Yet here they go - SPEND, SPEND, SPEND… while telling the taxpayers they must pay MORE or they’ll lose their Community Center!
They already budgeted $100,000 and have hired an architectural firm to design the building. They will return with prices and edited plans on Tuesday, March 19 at 9 a.m. at the Historic Courthouse.
